ROMAN
TERECHKOVITCH

Roman Terechkovitch (1892–1978) was an important artist and exponent of modern painting, whose work is primarily associated with abstraction and Expressionism. Born in the then Soviet Union, Terechkovitch emigrated to Europe in the 1920s, where he lived in Paris and developed his artistic practice. There he was closely connected to the avant‑garde movement and drew inspiration from various currents, particularly Cubism and Surrealism. Terechkovitch's works are characterised by a dynamic use of colour and strong, expressive forms. He experimented with the possibilities of abstraction and constantly sought new forms of expression intended to embody feelings and the human context. His works are often a fusion of representational and abstract elements that create an intense emotional resonance.

Roman Terechkovitch left an important legacy and is regarded as a pioneer in the connection of emotion and form. His works continue to inspire artists and art lovers and exemplify the diversity and dynamism of European modern art.

Roman Constantin Terechkovitch is a Russian artist born in Leningrad in 1968. He studied at the St. Petersburg State Art Institute and completed his studies in 1993 with a diploma in painting. Terechkovitch is known for his abstract paintings, which often employ geometric forms and colours.
